About

Margarita Kukhtina is an artist and illustrator based in Batumi Georgia. She’s been doodling and drawing since she was a kid, covering anything she could with her art.

After getting a degree in Fine Arts, Margarita explored various creative paths, like making packaging designs, board games, creating surface pattern designs for kids clothing, and designing toys. But she eventually found her true love in illustrating children’s books. With a decade of experience Margarita had worked on more than 20 titles that had been translated into multiple languages.

She works both with traditional and digital media to create atmospheric illustrations inspired by nature and folklore. In her free time, she loves to play around in her sketchbook and take long walks by the seashore.
